Jessica Lee Chu En is an award-winning documentary and film director, and co-founder of Beam Sea, a film production company.
Her film Ice Cold: Murder, Coffee and Jessica Wongso, produced for Netflix, ranked in the top 10 non-English films globally and reached number one in Indonesia and across Southeast Asia. She also produced General Mayhem: The Killing of Brigadier J, and The Raincoat Killer, both for Netflix.
She has directed documentaries across multiple genres, including Breakthroughs (CNA), Secret Lives of Trees (CNA) , a Women in History series (National Library Board of Singapore). She has also directed branded documentaries for the likes of Meta, Bloomberg, Samsung, Hyundai, and others.
Jessica was formerly Head of Development at Beach House Pictures, Asia's largest independent production studio. She also teaches documentary filmmaking at the National University of Singapore.
She is based in Singapore and the United Kingdom.
